This event served as a momentum to strengthen organizational consolidation, organize alumni institutions, and encourage alumni contributions in supporting the development of SPs UNHAS and the community.

The meeting was attended by board members and several prominent alumni figures. Also present were the Dean of SPs UNHAS, Prof. Dr. Sukri Palutturi, SKM, M.Kes., MSc.PH., Ph.D.; the Chairman of the DPP IKA UNHAS, Dr. Irwan Ade Saputra, S.IP., M.Si.; and the Chair of IKA SPs UNHAS for the 2022–2026 period, Prof. Dr. Ir. Prof. Sukri reminded that IKA SPs UNHAS possesses a vast alumni network spread across various regions in Indonesia. "This network is a vital potential that can be utilized to strengthen the relationship between alumni and their alma mater, while supporting institutional development through sustainable collaboration," explained Prof. Sukri.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of DPP IKA UNHAS, Dr. Irwan Ade Saputra, highlighted the importance of discussing the membership classification of IKA SPs UNHAS. According to him, membership grouping is one of the matters that needs further discussion to support organizational structuring and strengthen alumni coordination.

Regarding collaboration, the Chair of IKA SPs UNHAS for the 2022–2026 period, Prof. Majdah M. Zain, also emphasized the importance of cooperation between SPs UNHAS and the alumni organization. She noted that many alumni have attained strategic positions and become influential figures, possessing the potential to bridge SPs UNHAS in building synergy and formulating programs that benefit the community.

She also proposed that IKA SPs UNHAS act as a coordination center or alumni hub at the graduate school level, while still accommodating existing alumni platforms in each study program. With this pattern, the alumni network is expected to be more closely connected and have broader collaboration spaces.

The deliberation agenda then proceeded to the plenary sessions. In Plenary Session III, participants discussed the ratification of the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART) of IKA SPs as well as the ratification of the organization's broad work program outlines. Subsequently, Plenary Session IV covered the nomination and appointment of chairperson candidates, the presentation of candidates' visions and missions, the election of the IKA SPs UNHAS chair for the 2026–2030 period, and the signing of the election results report.

Through the plenary session, Dr. Ir. H. Lutfi Halide, M.P. was elected as the Chair of IKA SPs UNHAS for the 2026–2030 period. He is the best graduate of the SPs UNHAS Environmental Science Doctoral Program in 2025 and is also active as a politician.
