Jumping 59.21 Points, UNHAS’s School of Public Administration Ranks 7th University-Wide in the 2026 Green Metric Ranking

MAKASSAR — The Green Metric Team of the Graduate School of Hasanuddin University (SPs UNHAS) held an internal evaluation meeting to review the Official Assessment Minutes of the 2026 UNHAS Green Metric Questionnaire. Based on the university's official recapitulation results, SPs UNHAS recorded the highest score surge among all faculties and schools within UNHAS, increasing drastically by +59.21 points (Oct. 14, 2026).

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ir. Syahriadi Kadir, M.Si., Director of the Waste and Water Division who also serves as the Vice Dean for Planning and Resources; the head of the Green Metric team, Dr. Ir. Darhamsyah, M.Si.; team coordinators; the head of administration; and the sub-division heads of SPs UNHAS.

This significant increase brought SPs UNHAS out of the Red Zone (18.70% in 2025) and propelled it to the upper threshold of the Yellow Zone with an achievement of 77.91% and a total score of 5,453.5 points. This achievement places SPs UNHAS in 7th position out of a total of 18 units within Hasanuddin University.

SPs UNHAS's significant achievement was driven by much more comprehensive data entry compared to the previous year. Based on the detailed assessment indicators, SPs UNHAS successfully achieved a perfect score of 1,000 points (100%) in the Setting and Infrastructure indicator.

In addition, SPs UNHAS showed very strong performance in other indicators: Water Management at 936 points (93.6%), Governance and Digitalization at 900 points (90.0%), Education and Research at 797.5 points (79.75%), Transportation at 760 points (76.0%), and Energy and Climate Change at 755 points (75.5%), with waste management serving as the main key toward the Green Zone.

Despite recording the highest increase, the team's evaluation meeting emphasized that SPs UNHAS is currently only 2.09% away from the Green Zone threshold ($\ge 80\%$). An in-depth evaluation identified that the Waste indicator remains the weakest area for SPs UNHAS, scoring 305 points (30.5%).

"For implementation in 2026–2027, hopefully the Graduate School will rise to the green zone," remarked Mr. Andi Ahmad Fauzan, Coordinator of the Energy & Climate Change Division for SPs Green Metric.

Through this evaluation meeting, the SPs UNHAS Green Metric Team formulated a focused action plan to strengthen integrated waste management. With an increase of just around 80–100 points in the waste indicator, SPs UNHAS is positioned to securely enter the Green Zone (Very Good Sustainable Campus) rankings in the upcoming assessment.

This step reaffirms SPs UNHAS's commitment not only to producing quality graduates but also to realizing environmentally friendly and sustainable green campus governance.
