The Rector of Hasanuddin University and the Team held a visit regarding the Program and Development of the Hasanuddin University Graduate School in the Hall of Prof. Fachruddin Graduate School Unhas, Thursday (17/08).
This activity was carried out offline in the Hall of Prof. Fachruddin Graduate School, attended directly by the Chancellor of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., together with the Deputy Chancellor of Hasanuddin University, who was accompanied by the Dean of the Graduate School, Prof. dr. Budu., Ph.D., Sp.M(K)., M.MedEd., along with Deputy Deans, the Head of the Study Program, along with the Permanent Lecturers at the Unhas Graduate School.
Prof. dr. Budu., Ph.D., Sp.M(K)., M.MedEd., in his remarks stated that he would discuss development and work priority programs in the Graduate School. “Currently the program at the Graduate School is still stuck, so the Chancellor provides a solution. We only prepare the results of the main performance index,” he said.
Prof. Dr. Amir Ilyas, SH., MH., the Deputy Dean for Partnership, Research, and Innovation said regarding the program “It is hoped that there will be Starbucks with KFC at the Unhas Graduate School”. And the Dean of the Graduate School also reported that there were two study programs planned to be included in ASIIN (Accreditation in Engineering Computer Science Natural Sciences Mathematics).
According to Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., as the Chancellor, stated another principle, actually this post is a shared house, “here is a small reflection because all the faculties are there, there is medicine and agriculture. Therefore, it is a barometer. More places, time, momentum, programs for Unhas”. The Chancellor said that one of the characteristics of progress is interdisciplinary, “let’s enliven the Postgraduate Program, if it’s getting busier, it’s productive too.” “We shouldn’t plan spending higher than income, because that would be a disaster. So we have to avoid disaster,” he said.
The Chancellor of Unhas also said that the needs of foreign students must be carried out strategically, in the right, good and profitable way. “Let’s be a little more aggressive in fighting for goodness. New study programs that can still develop, let’s make it happen, don’t have any later than 2023,” he said.
“Post must also set standards for young lecturers. Let’s strengthen your ability to strengthen the KPI indicator. Never feel that you have had enough of what is being done at BKD,” said Prof. Dr. Ir.
